Random Quote of the Day
Hi I'm Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl.
What About Bob?
I'm not sure which is dorkier, staying up till 2 in the morning watching The Bob Newhart Show or staying up till 2:30 thinking up shit for a new website that I'm in association with (sort of) Star Wars Blows. It's also very sad that I can't remember what I had thought would have been so great for my Random Quote of the Day. Now I am at a loss.
....Oh wait, no I'm not, I JUST NOW remembered. It wasn't until I gave up that I did though, strange how that works. I'll post it shortly.
The Bob Newhart Show so made my day though. I haven't seen it in a while and now I can even understand some of the more "adult" undertones that occasionally pop up in the show.
"Bob Newhart! FUCK YEAH!"
Sorry, it had to be said, and with my IQ currently going down the toilet (because it's 3 in the MORNING!) I don't think this post is going to go much further. Now if only I could watch some reruns of Newhart I'd be set. Oh, that and a bass trombone solo.
Perfect.

Team America
Just got through watching Team America: World Police and it was hi-larious. What makes it truly great are the songs, just like the songs in South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut made that movie so grand, and, seeing as this was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, it only seems appropriate. If you have no knowledge of this movie it uses a complete marionette cast. So...it's essentially The Thunderbirds but much more obscene.
Anything and everything can be done with marionettes, gun fights, kung fu, fisticuffs, exploding heads, explicit sex scenes and much more. I never thought puppets could be used so cinematically, but I don't know if anyone's ever put enough money into it...until now. Everything is funnier when it's done with puppets, especially when making fun of Alec Baldwin or Matt Damon. Always funny. Who doesn't like puppets? Puppets make the day that much better.
I encourage all to see this film. Be warned, it is incredibly stupid, but entirely funny. Also, there is great metaphor used in the film, which will only enhance your movie watching experience.
"Show alot of things happening at once remind everyone what's going on! That's called a montage! MONTAGE! Even Rocky had a montage! MONTAGE!"
Anyways, I actually set up a still-life today and it was nice to just draw for a few hours, it's been a little too long since I've done that and it felt quite good. I figured I could use at least some of the mulitude of stuff in my mf's apartment for something, especially if he isn't there to use it for the time being.
"Drawing! Fuck Yeah!"
I don't have much else to share, so I think I'll just watch my friend's kittens beat on each other and attack bugs and shit. Night all.

Driver's Ed
I have now decided that people become unobservant bastards while driving. Nothing terribly extreme happened to me today or anything, but just another driving situation where it seems as though I'm the only person aware of other people while in the car. Case in point, I'm on the highway, another car is driving on my ass obviously wanting to pass me, normally I get in the right lane as soon as possible, but since there was a semi two lanes over in a lane that was about end, SO....I was going to wait until I passed the semi to get over. Dumbass behind me tries to pass on the right side. The semi's lane is going to end in 500 ft that a sign clearly states before-hand (for some reason no one likes to believe these signs, you know LANE ENDS or EXIT ONLY, and don't get over until they have no choice, this annoys the crap out of me btw) and the guy has to brake suddenly to get back behind me. This seemed clear to me, but it seems as though not many people like to put these facts together while they're driving, and I think it's doubly important if you're really in a hurry and are trying to speed by people SAFELY.
I'm not sure if anyone even really understood what kind of situation I described, but I'm a very passive driver. If it looks like someone is going to cut in front of me I generally give them room because they'll probably do it anyway and I would prefer if they DIDN'T hit my car. Also, semi's always win, if one has a blinker on YOU LET THEIR ASSES GET OVER! Don't speed past them, don't cut in front of them and don't ride on there ass. I don't think even the biggest baddest truck is going to match a semi's destructive weight and momentum.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm amazed there aren't more accidents on the road everyday. It seems as though very few people realize really how fast they're going in a METAL BOX! I don't care how many safety tests and crash tests have been done, you hit something going even 30 mph something's going to break. Not that I don't speed, but I just hate it when people don't show SOME restraint and are only thinking about how much in a hurry they are and pissed off that so many people in their way.
Okay, I've been distracted for some time and have now forgotten why I was ranting about bad drivers. So I think I'm pretty much done for the night now.

ONE YEAR!
Happy Anniversary to ME! Oh, and my mf as well, you kind of need two people for this sort of thing I think. Yes, one year has come and gone, and sadly we are 2,000 miles apart. I guess we'll have to celebrate a couple of weeks late, but it is still a happy day.
Well, SORT OF happy, I did have to go into work a few hours earlier than I was supposed to, the dang Foreign guy at work who NEVER listens, didn't show up when the Manager told him too. SO, I was called in when it started to get busy because I really don't have much else to do, I just really don't like to get called in last minute, but then again I don't think most people do. Maybe if it were cloudier out today I would have been a little bit more comfortable seeing as my air conditioner is still broken (and isn't going to get fixed any time soon) and the heat index was 101 today, which wasn't all that great of a combination. I almost (well actually, pretty much did) started crying out of frustration because I got bitched out by a rude ass customer.
Me: Okay, I forgot your coke, I'll go back to the store and get it, I'm really sorry about that. I'll get back as quickly as I can.
(But seeing as this lady isn't terribly close to the store it takes me about twenty minutes.)
Asshole: I already called up your store! I want my money back! If I didn't need a drink with my pizza I wouldn't have ordered a drink with it. Now my pizza's cold! I want my money back.
(Oh, if only I wasn't so hot, sweaty, tired, and hungry)
Me: Sorry, ma'am, here's your money.
(I take the cold pizza and cinna sticks back to my car and try with all my might NOT to cry because "there's no crying in pizza!" Oh wait, I think that's baseball, but you get the idea.)
See, aparently you can't eat a pizza without a 2 liter coke, it's impossible to substitute a carbonated beverage with simple tap water for a short while. BUT! it is okay to be obscenely rude over a small mistake. I wish I had the mental capacity to respond,
Okay MAYBE I wouldn't have said the "asshole" part, but I would have thought it, along with many other obscenities as I most certainly did.
I had actually prepared a nice little speech for when I got there, you know, thanking the lady for her patience, and that I was really sorry for forgetting her drink, and thanks for being so nice about it. But no. I traded all that in for a meek reply of "sorry ma'am" and crying to myself out of frustration because, I was hot, sweaty, kind of hungry, really missing my mf, and this was just not the best time for me to be handling any out of the ordinary stress or any assholes in general.
ANYWAYS, I think I'm done venting for now, I just hate it when people are like that because I can't think of ME ever being that way to stranger before, and especially not to a waitress or anything. No one needs to be bitched out like that for ONE little mishap, shit happens and some people can't take it and have to dish it back out. Unfortunately, there's an abundance of people like that in the world and I'm quite sure there always will be.
Though thinking about my ONE YEAR! anniversary does help my mood considerably. G'night folks.

"Sorry ma'am, I've been out delivering in an unairconditioned car for about 4 hours with orders almost nonstop in the middle of the day. I'm not quite as quick as I would be otherwise and if I weren't trying to rush so much so as to get other people their pizzas in a reasonable time as well, I probably would have noticed that I needed to get a drink. I apologize for forgetting your coke, I'm usually very good at NOT doing that, this was just a mistake. Again, I'm sorry...asshole."

Two Little Words: Shut. UP!
I just saw Batman Begins earlier, and all in all it was a pretty good flick. I kind of really didn't like Christian Bale's "Batman" voice though, he sounded like he's been chain smoking for 40 years or something. It was too forced, he was trying to make his voice "gravelly" instead of just "darker". Afterwards I realized that he pretty much was trying to sound like Aunt Selma and Patty, which I don't really think is the feel he should have been going for.
Maybe his voice wouldn't bother me so much, but I had far from a GREAT movie experience because the guys sitting next to me WOULD NOT SHUT UP! They kept asking questions to one another, the kind of questions you wonder in your INNER MONOLOGUE, "Gee, I wonder why he did that?" I don't know Genius, why don't you sit quiet and WATCH the damn movie and maybe you'll find out. I might be a little more leniant if it were kind of young "kids" or whatnot, but these dudes looked to be maybe in their fifties, plenty old enough to be aware of proper movie theater etiquette.
ANYWAYS, I did like the way The Scarecrow was portrayed, though the actor looked like he could be in middle school, and I have no idea how he's supposed to be old enough to be a doctor. Also, any movie that sports Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman has to be at least marginally good, so there was that.
Maybe I'll just stick to renting movies from now on and then I get to choose whose going to be in my audience and I won't be afraid to tell their asses to "shut up" if need be.
I'm fairly exhausted now, I may try and do some garage sale-ing tomorrow and see if I can find a bedframe, but I won't be too surprised if that doesn't happen at all. Talk to you peeps lay-ta.

Poor Condition
Oh the excitement, I just can't take it anymore. Yesterday was oodles of fun at work because our store had 1 topping medium pizzas for FOUR DOLLARS!!!!!!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
Which meant folding lots and lots of boxes and me getting grouchy because I never got time to eat lunch and since I actually stayed around until 5 o'clock that meant I was rather famished by the time I left work. I survived though and tomorrow is my day off and I only have a couple of errands to run and other than that I can go do whatever the hell I want. And "whatever the hell I want" generally means sitting around on my ass watching tv, playing video games, and maybe going shopping, but I must make sure not to spend too much money.
Ah yes, another exciting tidbit of information: my air conditioner is officially broken. After a couple of weeks of relative driving comfort my air conditioner has now decided to make strange noises and put much strain on my engine causing the car to shimmy and shake if I turn it on. At least it's just the air conditioner though, for a while I was smelling burning oil, but I concluded it was from another car because I haven't smelled it since that one time.
I don't know why I'm so tired today, but I think I'll lay down and relax for a while, maybe I'll have the energy to do something later.

Cruisin' for a Bruisin'
So I'm done for the day and I can't think of anything productive to do now. Last night I watched The Last Samuri with B. which was a really cool movie and Tom Cruise was actually good. Though he did play a drunkard for half of the film which I don't think required too much "acting" on his part and he got hit the face really hard with a stick, always good for a laugh. Also, we repeatedly ruined the dramatic mood of the movie by making jokes throughout it, but all in all a really good flick.
I've decided to take a break from video games today since I managed to give myself a headache yesterday from playing for about 5 hours. I've really lost my stamina for that kind of thing, I used to be able to play for days without ill reactions, sometimes I would beat a game in one day if I was really dedicated and depending on the game. Oh, I have also come to the conclusion that a game can be TOO long because I think I've lost all desire to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas because I feel like I've been playing it forever and I think I'm (at MOST) 2/3rds through it. Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like something that LOOKS like it could be beaten with in a normal time frame and not 100 hours (or more) later. Especially those spy games, because they've gotten way too damn hard, I think I'd actually have to BE a spy before I can come close to beating Metal Gear Solid 2 or Splinter Cell.
Whatever, maybe I'll go read a book or try sketching a bit instead of wasting hours on my Playstation. If only I could decide on what I want to draw!

Work Addict
Now that's what I call a full day of work. I've actually broken $40 in tips today so I think I'm okay with being called at 10 in the morning to go work the day shift when I was originally scheduled to work evening. And yes, I realize 10 am isn't THAT early, but when you're planning on sleeping till whenever it kind of disrupts your day for a while. Though it was nice to actually get some hours in and I took a crap load of runs today which can only mean more money for me.
I did encounter a severe irony today though...I was delivering to the respiratory clinic in the children's hospital and was stopped outside of the hospital by the doctors the pizza was for who were on a smoke break...smoking...outside...they work in the respiratory clinic...and they were smoking...think about it...take your time...you'll get it sooner or later...somehow that doesn't really make sense to me, but I do find it rather amusing.
I can't even think anymore I'm so tired right now, so I'm going to the smart thing and go to bed. Yes, because I'm a genius, that's right a GENIUS.
(Hopefully I haven't mispelled anything that might make me retract my being of genius.)

Cheap Tips
Another barely productive day at work has come to pass and I have now come to the belief that I'll never be able to break $40 in tips on an evening ever again. My first couple weekends were okay, but I only worked about 3 1/2 hours tonight and am doomed to only recieve about 20 bucks on any shift I work. Fortunately I do still get hourly wages, BUT if I keep getting let off early on all my shifts I'm not going to make any money this summer.
I was thoroughly non-productive early today as well other than the fact that I bought 3 movies and a video game for less than thirty dollars. That's an accomplishment of some kind right? I now finally have a copy of "Chicago" and I got "The Last Samuri" and "The Usual Suspects" neither of which I've seen but have heard are very good movies. Also lets hope I don't lose interest in the game I just bought (The Mark of Kri) and never finish it like I've done with a number of other games. Though I did only pay $6 for it so it wouldn't be too big of a loss.
Yeah, that's been my exciting day and now I'm surrounded by cats and a wolf is lounging right by my feet, always fun. I hope it's busier at work tomorrow because I have WAY too much free time on my hands and not enough money. Not that free time's bad, but I definitely will be spending my wad very quickly once school starts up again. Though if all goes as planned I'll graduate when I'm 21 (I'll turn 22 shortly after, but nonetheless) which deems me a genius. I will still speak with you common folk though, do not worry and do not fear my geniusness for I will use it only for good...and the occasional good-natured prank that may or maynot be funny to others, but will cause me to erupt in glorious laughter.

Art Thou Nude?
Ah, the joy of pretending to have my own apartment but not really. Since today is my day off from work I've been hanging around at my mf's abandoned apartment treating it as though it were my own. That meaning I watch whatever the hell I want on TV, make my own food and spread out some art crap all over the floor (which will be easily cleaned up of course).
It's nice to have the time and energy to do some of my own art projects before school starts up again, but I'm afraid that I will quickly run out of ideas. I think I would do best just kind of experimenting with different styles and materials that I've never really worked with before. Maybe someday I'll find my own unique illustration or painting style or whatever, and have a look that would always be recognized as my own without having to put my name on it.
I got more money in the bank which is always a plus. Cooked up some chicken and some cowboy casserole (ground beef, baked beans, and some seasoning all thrown together) today so now I have some food already prepared and I can throw in the microwave for a quick meal. I thought it sounded like a good idea. Other than that I'm just being a big homebody, though I do feel like talking to somebody right now.
I've found out school doesn't start till the 29th of August which is about two weeks later than I expected, but I guess that's all fine and dandy. It does give me more time to make some money this summer. I can't wait to move into my apartment though, it's quite exciting, but that's a whole month away yet. Now all I can think of is how I'm going to arrange MY room. I think I'll need some nudey drawings hanging up in there.
"HEY, DOES ANYONE WANT TO POSE NAKED FOR ME!?"
...........
I guess that's a no. Well, it was worth a try. Maybe I'll just draw on some nude furniture. I'm going to leave now.

Eek! I think I saw somebody walk by the window...or that could have just been a curl in your hair.

Pause for a Meno
I think I might be going through the menopause because I sure am hot...or maybe that's because I live in Texas. Come to think of it it's probably the latter. Menopause jokes never grow old.
Random Quote of the Day
We have an office manager who is an excellent worker but is going through the menopuase and so is probably somewhat difficult to work with for the other two girls.

School Work
Blahdy, blahdy, blah. I don't have anything too exciting to share as of late and I don't really feel like going to work in two and half hours, but I do what I must so I'm not so frickin' poor during the school year. Oh right, I finally have my schedule for the coming semester set up, so that's kind of cool, but I get a little depressed trying to think of how to fit a job in there as well without going completely insane. If it weren't for the fact that I KNOW I'll have a shit load of homework all the damn time it would be okay, but that's not the case with being a comm design major.
Ah, this sucks, I can't even think of anything funny to say. I'll go and try to find something interesting to do before work time rolls around.

Revenge of the Comm Design God
YAY! I got my codes for my two Comm. Design classes for this coming semester....oh, crap...but...no....yeah....that sucks, that really sucks, my name is missing from one of the lists. Two lists, my name is supposed to appear twice, but no, I only see it once, crap-o-la. I guess I have to go bring it to the Comm Design God's attention. There is one cool thing though, the class my name IS in is taught by my TA from my Typography class from last fall, so that'll be nice.
Anyways, I guess I'll have to get that all cleared up, but I did get to see Star Wars: Episode III today and it was somewhat entertaining. The movie relies too much on special effects though, they were cool and all but there was no real plot. Special effects are supposed to "enhance" the movie, not be the only driving factor. That's why I think the X-Men movies are particularly cool because special effects are used, but it's more about the characters and not just the fact that they can do cool shit.
Oh yes, I got my air conditioner working for a short time now, it's too expensive to actually FIX the problem (by about $700) but it only cost $30 to get some new freon which should last me through the really hot months (hopefully). I guess my compressor works, but pretty much leaks everywhere and so all the freon just goes away and doesn't make the air cold anymore (good scientific/mechanical explanation, right?).
Blah, blah, blah, I've got nothing more to really talk about really so I'm going to go eat some dinner now. Adios.

Pizza RULES!
Rule #1 WHEN YOU ORDER A PIZZA MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH DAMN MONEY TO PAY FOR IT AND DON'T LEAVE YOUR DELIVERY DRIVER WAITING WHILE YOU GO AND CALL SOME FRIEND OF YOURS TO SPOT YOU A DAMN TWENTY.
Rule #2 Please, oh god, PLEASE don't try to pay with a HUNDRED dollar bill unless your order is somewhat near a hundred dollars or you want to give a fantastic tip. Why would you expect the pizza girl to have change for THAT MUCH money. I'm not going to carry around more than twenty bucks and the money I just got for an order, I want to be as little of a target as possible.
Rule #3 If you have vicious dog chained to the front porch (especially PIT BULLS!) bring him inside if you want your damn pizza, or freakin' buffalo wings whatever. My job is to deliver pizzas NOT to be your dog's new favorite chew toy.
Rule #4 No stupid people allowed....I mean, wait yeah, that's exactly what I mean. NO STUPID PEOPLE ALLOWED!
Rule #5 Common Courtesy. That's the name of the game folks, if you have sprinklers, turn them off. If your house number is hard to see (especially at night) turn on your porch light, or better yet wait outside if you know your house is kind of hard to spot...or you live in a creepy neighborhood. And please read the above rules and drill them into your memory forever and ever.
Rule #6 Safety is quite important to me, I try to make sure I know EXACTLY where I'm going, I never leave with more than twenty dollars in change, I light my way with my headlights, and if things get too creepy and/or annoying I'll call the client's ass and if he/she doesn't answer I'm leaving and I might not return. I have no shame in running away.
(Yes, the top three situations occurred last night and Rule #4 and #5 is always broken by somebody)
