Thanksgiving!
Sadly, this glorious Thanksgiving weekend has come to an end. Why so glorious? Because I was able to sleep in four days in a row, didn't have to cram in homework all at once (it would have been better if homework were out of the picture entirely though), and had a great meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry stuff, rolls, and pumpkin pie with my (now beardless) man.
Oh well, I guess I can survive that last few weeks of school. Then I'll only be one (UNO!) semester away from graduating! Where hopefully my work will hire me on full-time so I can at least not worry about bills and just take it easy for a few months before looking for a cooler job. That's my plan anyways, I still need to look for other jobs, but my current job should provide a bit of safety net for me. I like safety.
Anyways, I need to head to bed in short order and hopefully finish off this Shiner Bock (I slept till noon today, I'm hoping that drinking this will keep me from staying up too late). So much to do and so little time.

Shave and a Haircut...
TWO BITS!
So Boscoe Birdy and I both got hair/feather cuts today. His went much quicker than mine, but apparently was much more horrible with all the squawking he insisted on doing. He hates going to the pet store, doesn't know what to think about all those other birds.
I've been doing a pretty good job of procrastinating lately. I'm sure having a hard time getting motivated and then STAYING motivated. So far I like what I'm coming up with for this project and I'm hoping it'll turn out as cool as it is in my head, but its so much more fun NOT doing anything.
Lately TV has been a common distracter from work and also this game (I'm on level 29 at the moment, it saves your progress if you connect from the same computer all the time). Mostly I'm just getting a bad case of Senioritus, which I didn't really get in Highschool, so maybe I'm getting it two-fold now. Who knows?
Anyways, I've got some new ideas roming around in my head at the moment, so I should write them down and perhaps get a bit more work done tonight.

In the Navy!
So I'm pretty happy with how my latest painting turned out. I got this imagery from some old slides that my dad took while he was in the Navy and served on JFK aircraft carrier. The main image is a cool scenery shot he took of some tough ships in the harbor, and the other smaller squares are other printed out pictures that I did orange and black duotones on of some other slides that he took.
The only complaint I have about this thing is that it doesn't fit in my car (4' x 3'). I wish I still had my hatchback.

Pettable Pets
Yay, consistently working Internet again!
Well, I've just been up to getting started on my new project in Graphic Design, which I think is heading off rather nicely. I feel a lot better about this project than I was on the Primal Quest group project. That one just took so long, and I don't really know why.
I can't think of a whole lot to ramble about right now...not feeling a need to rant or just ramble on forever about nothing. Very quiet mood tonight.
Anyways, enjoy pictures of my pets that I have to leave my parents. So sad, I wish I could at least have Squeeky Cat with me, she's adorable for such a beat-up, grumpy kitty. That and the fact that she hates the other two (Fred and Spaz), but I can't have her because I live in an apartment and she likes to run around outside, and she might want to eat Boscoe. She isn't interested in the parakeet at home though (well, not anymore at least), so she might do okay with Boscoe Birdy.
