Flawless Victory.

Get a grip. GET A GRIP!...nice grip

Alright, alright, alright, ALRIGHT ALREADY! I'm finally making a real post again. Too much crap to do, and while I really haven't done that much today, I've been exceedingly lazy. This is the last real week though folks. On Friday I either make it or break it, on Friday is the midpoint review which will decide my fate in the Comm. Design program. I have to get a lot of shit done by Friday and what am I doing? I tell you what I'm doing, I'm not doing a damn thing at the moment. I just got done watching Pulp Fiction. Well, I watched most of it, I was thawing out a chicken filet and cooking it in the middle (yeah, that's right, I cooked, and it was damn good too) so I missed the details in a few parts, but it was the first time I've actually seen the "whole" movie.

I cleaned out my car today....it'll be filled with crap again soon enough though. I really don't want to have to pack up all my stuff. It's not that much, but it's still a pain in the butt. Le sigh. I'm actually very wide awake right now, but since I'm not in my dorm room at the moment (I'm "house sitting" my mf's apartment while he's out of town on gigs (which really means I'm watching TV and eating the little bit of food he has left in his place. mmmm......chicken)) I can't think of anything else I can do. I've already mounted my stuff that's due Monday because I needed it for my interview that I had yesterday.

Ah yes, the interview with Yukon Advanced Optics. I believe I did rather well, and it sounded like the guy was willing to offer me a job after they moved their base of operations at the end of May (it was a really small suite and they wouldn't have had any room for me right away, which from seeing how everyone was stationed was quite believable) IF I was still interested and hadn't gotten another job or something. At least I hope I interpretted that right, I've been known to make up stuff before, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't get the job. It would be nice to get the experience though (while getting paid, if even not THAT much).

SO.....I believe I've finally decided on a final mark (logo for the non comm design readers, though logo is TECHNICALLY a specific type of mark I won't go into the details) to do my letterhead, business card, and envelope design. Right. I sure as hell hope I can make it through the review Friday, I'll find out next Monday so that'll be a fun few days. I can't believe that summer is almost upon us, and I must say that this has been one very cool year. I hope I have many more as fruitful as this one even with all the drama, this has to be one of the best years of my "existence". (I put "existence" in quotes because I have this running theory that I have been reincarnated so I am actually older than I seem to be, and this is why I have an uncanny knowledge of old cartoons that I SHOULDN'T know, and why I enjoy Nick at Nite and the Oldies station so very, very much. Not to mention my attraction to a particular "older" man who has been deemed "manfriend"(I seem to have gotten off topic, I don't even recall what my topic was. Oh yeah, good year) Right.)

ALRIGHT, move it along shall we?!

(You really need to stop talking to yourself. Stop, right now. Now. I said shutup already! People are gonna think you're crazy you know. Think silently. Don't mumble to yourself.) One more real week, two more technically. The higher functions of my brain (HAH) have decided to go on strike. (I said stop talking to yourself. You don't ever listen do you? Why am I explaining things to myself, I already know it if I'm explaining to MYSELF, yet I do it anyways.)

Move along people, there's nothing left to see here.....well, except that......what is that? Eww, it just moved.....and is it, is it growing?

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!

Random Quote of the Day

Vin Diesel and "Rowdy Roddy" Piper were once close friends...that is until the Piper made a distasteful joke about the size of his "package". Vin retaliated by cursing the Piper with erectile disfunction and left him in a room filled with 70 "Rowdy Randy" virgins.

Fuel

I can waste so much time on that "random Vin Diesel facts" website. Quite funny, and incredibly random. Hilarious. Damn, I still need to redraw my penguin and try to make him completely symmetrical...

Vin Diesel made a food chart that adds a necessary food group: The souls of your enemies.

I never liked Vin Diesel until today, I need to think up some random facts to submit to the website, though I may never see it if I do so.

Alright, I still need to do work, and I apologize for not updating, but I really haven't had much of anything interesting going on. Periods of laziness and doing work have been my schedule lately. Nothing of any real sort of interest.....except for Vin. Vin Diesel taught Godzilla everything he knows. Vin Diesel is a mathematical impossibility. And I....am incredibly distracted and still need to get more work done.

...and now random facts about Vin Diesel!

In the American Revolution Vin Diesel swam over the Atlantic ocean to speak before Parliament. They refused to hear the gentle giant, so he fought the lot of them, then made off with the Queen. Their child was Winston Churchill.

He was the first man to ever successfully bowl a perfect game using only his MIND POWERS.

"Vin Diesel" spelled backwards is "Leseid Niv". When confronted with this fact in a recent interview, Vin Diesel pulled out a toilet plunger and stuck it to the face of the interviewer in a comical manner. Unfortunately, the interviewer suffocated to death. Vin was promptly arrested for murder, but was released 2 hours later when it was revealed that he is actually Santa Claus and thus has diplomatic immunity.

Will Smith once said, "I got to get me one of these." Vin Diesel does in fact have one of those.

After completing a hard-fought game of Risk against, well, himself, Vin Diesel likes nothing better than to pick up a skipping rope and work himself up to a light pace of 5,378 skips per second. He can also slow down his heart rate to one heart beat every February 28th – that’s slower than it takes Jeff Goldblum to complete a sentence.

Vin Diesel lost his virginity in a freak snowmobiling accident when he was 18.

Vin Diesel already created a cure for AIDS; if only he could read and write.

He once explained time travel to a group of apes using a stick and 3 marbles. They would turn out to be our ancestors. The marbles, that is.

Vin Diesel is the only person alive who can understand R2-D2. They have conversations daily.

Vin Diesel has had sex with every Nobel prize winner in physics - all except for Douglas Osheroff (The 1996 Winner). Watch out Dr. Osheroff!

Can't Complain

Good Lord! I'm so frickin' bored! and it's 11 o'clock at night so it's not like I'm going to go out and do something NOW. I'm boring myself by thinking about my upcoming uneventful weekend. My favorite person to hang out with has been in and out of town on gigs (actually one recurring gig). So right now it looks like the most excitement I'll be having is going to a paper company on Sat. morning with all the Graphic Design students. Oh, and I should be getting dinner with my sibs later that day, which will be interesting, but I don't want to take them up on their offer for staying over for the night. Let's just pretend NOTHING happened, right?

Sorry, I'm guess I'm planning for the worst in my head, though it was nice that my sister did call me thanking me for the Birthday card I sent her. I was pleasantly surprised with that. I got pretty good sleep last night, but man am I tired!

I really need to clean my room....it's quite trashed, but it's a good obstacle course I suppose. Too much crap in too small of a space, especially with my art stuff, it's hard to do that kind of stuff without spreading out. It's also hard when my room's (sorry, half a room, actually not even quite half. How have I been living like this all year?!) a mess. That's me Messy Missy, like that comment's never been made before, it's almost as bad as Mr. Grumpie's name. That's such a great nickname, I wonder how long it is until he really gets annoyed with that one. Mr. Grumpie. Fantabulous.

Ah man, I do have other things I could complain about, but I don't seem to have the energy. It's a MIRACLE, Missy doesn't have the energy to complain anymore! I think El Paso/H. E. double hockey sticks may have frozen over, maybe I should call my mom and ask how the weather is down there. Or not....maybe I'll just finish the night in a dazed stupor. Stupor.

Later, but Hungry NOW!

So.....I was kind of hoping someone would go to my mf's big band thing with me, but it's looking rather doubtful. Oh well, I guess I'll get some italian food and loud trumpets by myself. I should probably go buy paper as well, or start printing stuff from the computer lab since I pay for that shit anyways. Man, the gig lasts till 9:30, but I'm hungry now, and all I have is crap to eat in my room. Quite a conundrum.

Maybe I shouldn't have free time cause I can't make decisions very well. I guess I could always draw more penguins (which I need to do anyways because my prof said the telescope looked too Disneyish). Ah penguins, what fun are they unless you're hallucinating about them? Sorry, Billy Madison lapse. Stop looking at me swan! You're gonna die clown! Stop laughing at me! Why would you do that! You're sick!

My mind has now gone to no man's land and will not be back for sometime, I'm going to pursue vegetative activities. Or maybe listen to a certain trombonist.

My penguin drawing kicks ass! Posted by Hello

Don't Know

So, I've been thinking about my family relationships, and it's kind of got me down. Yesterday was my sister's birthday, and I sent a card (which will be late, because I sent it ON her birthday) and an email so that she'd get something on time at least, but I didn't call. I feel kind of bad about that last bit, but then again also not. I don't know. I don't know what to think or what to do exactly. I'd like to think I'm above trying to preserve my own "pride," but I'm not really. The most I'll probably hear from her is through my mom, because lord knows no one can speak directly to me.

I'm agitated, annoyed, frustrated, and more than a little sad right now. I guess my lapse in massive amounts of homework is giving my brain too much idle time to mull things over. Maybe some sort of revelation will hit, but that's doubtful. I guess I'm worried that time might make things worse, might help harbor lingering "disgust" and my own frustration. I don't know what to do. Well, I take that back, I know what I'm going to do, I'm going to eat some lunch and go to class because that's what I HAVE to do. It's something right?

D.I.C.

Ew....I just got my test score posted for my Women's Health class, a 74, and that's WITH a 5 point curve. I must say that this is my worst test grade of my college career, and hopefully I can pull off a B in this class because I really REALLY don't like C's. Though I do think I did rather well on my Anthropology test that I took today.

And you know what's also great......I DON'T have a million thumbnails due this week, just revisions. No more damn ideations! Now I just gotta make things look pretty, which can be quite fun, especially after doing over 500 thumbnails (I am not overexaggerating people, trust me). It'll be so nice to have some extra time DURING the week. I think I'm going to look at apartments tomorrow with my future roomy, I'll probably go listen to my mf play in a big band on Wed. (and make fun of him in his stupid shirt) and still have PLENTY of time to finish all of my crap-o-la.

Oh yeah, I never ranted about this guy that was filling in at work this past Thurs. I have NEVER been so immediately annoyed by a person before (Mr. Grumpie doesn't stand a chance against this guy). This guy was so socially retarded, and just plain "creeped my shit out." Completely self involved, could only contribute rude or sexual comments into a conversation, and just ignorant. Oh man....me an these other girls I work with were eating after our shift was over and talking about stupid shit, and this guy could not take the hint that we did NOT like him whatsoever. I couldn't take it for very long and left in fairly short order, but apparently more social retardedness (?) ensued. I guess D.I.C. (disfunctionally idiotic craphead (witty, I know)) said he was in need of a roommate (I wonder why the hell why?) and cashier chick said something about one of her friends needing a roommate, except he's gay so she asked how he felt about homosexuals. He said that he didn't care as long as they stayed the "f" away from him and stayed out of his effing room.....oh, unless he (the gay friend) wanted to give him a blow job....

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said before, I have NEVER been so immediately repulsed by a person. One of the other girls said he kept checking her out too, and not in a fun, flirty kind of way, more like the creepy, stalker kind of way that kind of just "creeps your shit out." I found him looking at me weird for a while too, and granted I was kind of spacing out and looking in his general direction, but this was still creepy D.I.C. weird.

Okay, I'm done ranting about that jackass for now. Hopefully I don't have to ever encounter him again because, yes, you guessed it, he "creeps my shit out."

Random Quote of the Day

Well, she is rather mannish.

Grumpie

Ah, thumbnails upon thumbnails, just looked at my folder o' thumbnails for my "Absolute Zero" client, and I swear it's almost an inch thick. That's a lot of damn thumbnails, especially with an average of 10 thumbs per page. I am pretty satisfied with my symbol designs which I put into the computer this weekend. Fun stuff. I did catch up on some sleep though, ah blissful sleep, how I miss you so.

Speaking of sleep, and my lack of interesting stories or random idiocies to share, I think I'll head off to bed. Oh, and TEENAGERS are only a small portion of the population whom are annoyed with a bass trombonist/web designer who is particularly "Grumpie." (For those who don't know Mr. Grumpie you might recognize him as B. a friend of my mf (and sometimes mine, but not right now.))

Hands

This drawing is rather sentimental, I drew it for my Grandmother shortly before she passed away. I had hoped she'd be able to see it, but I wasn't able to get it to her in time. Unfortunately I couldn't go to the funeral, but my dad went and put this drawing up as a little memorial. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. Posted by Hello

Zoning

I love procrastinatin' atin', I don't believe I've been doing enough of it lately. It's a nice feeling to actually be rested DURING the week. Somehow I fell asleep shortly after going to bed, it was fantastic. So now I'm rested and procrastinating, and since I only have one class tomorrow I'm not too concerned if I end up staying up fairly late.

Sweet, after talking to my mom for a bit I have discovered that my dad has decided to sell my (it's actually theirs) old car. While saddening I may get the CD player from the car, which would be great. The stereo system in my car really sucks quite badly.

Crap, I'm zoning out again. I really need to finish my thumbnails, I talked to my mom for way too long. I'll be going now, I've lost all enthusiasm to finish writing all that I planned to. So that's it.

Over Random

So now I have transformed from "classy business looking woman" to "summertime Miss". Yes, for a short period of time I was wearing snazzy pinstriped pants, hooker boots, and an nice black blouse. That is until I was done with my interview and quickly got rid of the hot (double entendre) clothes. The interview wasn't so much an interview, but more of an OVERview (witty, righty?) where the co-op coordinator guy informed me on all the stuff I should be preparing for when I go to a REAL interview. That's okay though because now I'm in the system.....plus now my hair looks good, got some make-up on, and put in my contacts for once.

Mmmmm.......escuel-O, or school jell-O, my own term, I coined, you better not take it from me. I know I'm being rather random, but that's been my usual state of mind as of late. Biker Mice from Mars, anyone ever see that random ass cartoon, somehow that came up this morning in class. I have no idea how it got in my head. Giant humanoid rats with antennaes riding choppers, what a concept! I'm losing it, I really am. I'm gonna get me some lunch now. Laters

Bloc Party

So I'm listening to one of my new CDs "Bloc Party: Silent Alarm" and I think it's a rather good band. I'm also having a weird IM conversation, but I guess weirdness keeps the day (or night) interesting. I only have a couple thumbs left to do, but I'm doing a pretty good job on procrastinating.

Hmm......I've got an interview tomorrow. I uh....went swimming today, nice to do something that wasn't REQUIRED of me during the school week. I need to see if I can keep some time open to swim more regularly, it would help me out a bunch once I got past the soreness part. I felt so damn weak, I only swam for half an hour and I was quite tired, and I couldn't sprint worth a shit. Ugh.

So yeah, this post has taken me about 40 minutes to write because I keep doing other things. Oh well. Maybe I'll post a picture or something. Aren't sketches fun?

Anyways, ya'll have a good night, and wish me luck on my interview tomorrow!

No Brakes

So, I'm feeling like I'm slacking off right now because my workload is actually managable at the moment. I had a rather pleasant weekend, was able to spend a lot more time with my mf than I usually get to. Kind of a double edged sword really though, while it was nice, it also meant he didn't get too many gigs for the weekend which is bad for his income. I have a mock interview this Wed. I hope it goes well, I've never had an "actual" interview before. Work/study jobs and Domino's don't really count, but at least it's something, right? I guess I've got start off somewhere, which is generally the bottom.

My car has been giving me some problems, hopefully I can get that fixed during the week (with minimal expense). It would make my life a lot easier if I could get the damn hood open on my own, I can't even look at my brake fluid level cause of the stupid hood. The latch won't pop the hood enough, that or I'm just an idiot and can't figure out basic principles. Pull lever, unlatch hood, sounds simple. Oh, how foolish one can be. I'm sure once someone else tries it it'll work fine and I'll look retarded (that's how things usually work out), but at least my hood would be opened. I tried yelling and cursing at the car, but I guess I don't know how to curse properly, my dad needs to give me a few more lessons I suppose.

I guess I should work a little more on thumbnails, crap. I still need to figure out my schedule for next semester....everything is going by so fast.

Space

I have amazed myself. I have been incredibly productive today despite the fact that I skipped my Philosophy class. I really need to stop doing that. My thumbnails are slowly but surely being accomplished and I'm being very good on kicking my ass into gear constantly. It really is starting to become more automatic to just do work ALL THE DAMN TIME! Anyways, I've gotten past being pathetic about it and have accepted the workload and really I'm a much happier person now. Acceptance really helps improve one's mood, you just do what you need to do and don't mope around about it. Moping doesn't do anyone any good, especially me. Hey, I didn't say I stopped being selfish from time to time.

So I still have lots and lots of thumbnails to get done, but I'm keeping myself on a good time schedule and have been prioritizing quite well. It's still entertaining to me that even though I have two tests this week Comm. Design stuff still (and always will) get first priority. Anyways, I should be able to enjoy a IHOP rendezvous tomorrow night, that's always nice. So there's been nothing really exciting, just doing a crap load of work almost all the time, oh yeah, and the occasional spacing out......

..........................................................
