Optimus Prime's Jewish?

Freon or Bust

Ah, the joys of not having an air conditioner are finally getting to me. Yes, I am losing my taste for sitting in my sweltering car delivering pizzas, and especially sine I'm going to work the day shift next week, I think it would be a good idea to get it fixed soon. I do have enough money in my bank account and I have been making pretty good tips so it'll probably be a good investment. Plus, I'd really rather not get heat stroke, not something I'm real interested in experiencing ever.

So I'm enjoying my day off somewhat, bought a couple of CD's (new Coldplay, and Mars Volta). One investment I'd like to make to my car is a CD player, but seeing as I'm a cheap ass, that won't be happening any time soon I think, though I was eyeing some of the cheaper ones at Best Buy and it was rather tempting. Air conditioner comes first though, my radio still works fine, I'll survive.

Hmmm...Still don't know what I want to do for the rest of the evening, maybe a movie or something, but I do know I need to eat soon, my stomach's kind of yelling at me. So I'll go off and resolve this problem (I think I should also resolve the crappy bust I made of myself by smashing it to pieces, it really is pretty awful, I've only really created one successful 3D piece and that bust isn't it and pretty much needs to be busted (see it's a pun!) I'll go sit in a corner now for making that idiotic joke.)

You went over my helmet!?

Disclaimer

Maybe a disclaimer will keep me out of trouble. Also I've just figured out how to put links in my text and thought it might be fun to show off. And yes, I do know this isn't a fantastic new discovery in Internet technology just bear with me.

Other than the disclaimer business I've gotten my car inspected and lubed up today, which is all very exciting. My gascap didn't pass inspection though and I was forced to shell out another five bucks for a new one, the bastards. Actually I wish all things could be fixed on my car for five bucks...like my air conditioning, that would be nice. Oh well, I guess I'll have to continue delivering pizzas drenched in sweat and grossing out the customers. Fortunately I did make plenty of tip money to pay off what I just did today, so that's pretty darn cool...and it's already 9 o'clock! This blows, I guess that's what happens when you start staying up until 2 in the morning and not waking up untill 11. I'm actually rather pleased with myself for not oversleeping, so that's a good thing, and it keeps from feeling like a total waste.

Anyways, I'm not really sharing anything real interesting I suppose, but I'm glad to be making a little money again and tomorrow I don't have to work terribly long hours or anything. I think everything is going pretty smoothly for the time being.

Here's a Few Tips

I've survived my first day back as a pizza girl and I must say it went rather well. I had to take my food handlers class early in the day and then I went to work shortly after that and worked till close and I get to close again today. YIPPIE! I just wish it weren't so hot, but I'll be fine as long as I drink lots of water. The greatest thing about yesterday though is that I made $75 in tips.

Oh yeah, I really should try and get a pizza job during the school year, I made about as much money last night than I ever did working at the cafeteria for two weeks. Maybe if I just worked rush (the weekend) and then have my week just class...I don't know, or maybe I could keep this job if I can just crash over at someone's place over the weekend. Just a thought. I wish I didn't have to work at all during the school year, that would be nice, but that's not an option really. BTW I really need to figure out my schedule for the coming semester, if only my professor would send me my registration codes.

Things to think about. This whole getting money thing is great though, money's nice, especially when you're accustomed to not having much at all. Well I get to work in about 5 hours, so that'll be fun, I think I might go play video games now.

The Pizza of Tomorrow

I'm all alone...and it's fantastic! I haven't been alone for quite some time and I like to have my "me" time. So I cleaned out my car and washed it today so it can be nice and spiffy for work tomorrow.

Yes, I start delivering pizzas again tomorrow, not the job I REALLY want to hear from, but I need the money so this is good. Yep, get go back to the old grind, let's just hope I don't get lost. Being lost is bad, and delivery successfully is good. See how it works.

Anyways, I don't have a whole lot to share besides that, so I think I'll go back to playing some video games, or doing some other mindless activity. Bye.

Greyhound Poo

So...I rode a bus from EP to FW, not the greatest thing in the world, but I survived. I was incredibly tired all day yesterday and went to sleep at around 7 and didn't wake up till 10 this morning. I thought I could sleep on the bus better, but seeing as the bus was completely full so therefore didn't get a whole bench to myself it was hard to sleep comfortably or soundly. Plus it was freezing on the bus and it wasn't until the trip was over that I could feel my feet again. Also, on an incredibly disgusting note, when we stopped at a rest area in Big Springs and no, a toilet didn't overflow, but something much worse, the sewage backed up. I don't recall ever having such a strong urge to hurl just by smelling something and my appetite was effectively shot for most of the day. bleh.

I have to take a food handlers class before I get to start delivering pizzas again, but that's Saturday so I don't have too long to wait. I also got send in my pamphlet thingy to the internship place finally, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I hope I hear from them soon though, that would be nice. Other than that I don't have too much to do other than clean out the back of my car, and maybe vacuum it out for once. I can't wait until I start getting a paycheck again cause it'll be nice to not be completely poor and have some moola saved up for the coming (very quickly I might add) school year. Talk to you peeps lay-ta.

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

...Oh wait, I mean bus. Yes I'm taking the bus to San Jose (or Ft. Worth, they're kind of similar, I mean they're both cities and whatnot). I get to leave at 1:30 AM Mountain time and arrive in FW at 1:30 PM Central, sounds like fun right? I could have left at a more decent time, but I thought I might be able to sleep through most of the trip this way and wouldn't seem quite so long, or I just might end up being god-awfully tired tomorrow and fall asleep the moment I'm presented with something okay to lay and isn't rolling down a freeway at 70 miles an hour. 11 hours on bus, no big whoop, I've spiltkas in my genectagazoink(?).

I did get my hair trimmed today, nothing drastic, but I thought it might be nice to go and get an okay trim for only five dollars. Yeah, that's right, I'm cheap, but that's mostly because I'm poor, someday I'll be able to spend more freely, until then I'll do okay with five dollar haircuts. Got some new spiffy clothes yesterday too, I had to take back a couple birthday gifts because they didn't fit quite right and so I bought some nice dockers sandals (SALE!), a pair of snazzy khakis (NOT COCKIES, you know who you are), and a cool blazer, and all in different shades of brown the most daring of colors.

I guess I'll make some pbj's for the trip right about now and pack some brownies that my momma just made. Mmm...smushed brownies from my backpack (drool). Maybe I'll make random phone calls if I can't get to sleep on the bus and wake up those who actually have things to do tomorrow...or not. I'll be nice then. By all.

"It's hot as a mo fo...on the bus, bus, bus, bus, bus, bus, bus! The bus, bus, bus, bus, bus, bus, bus!"

Stubborn as an Ox

Well isn't that special? Gosh derned slow ass damned dial-up connection. I designed a pamphlet thingy for my hopeful internship, but I can't send it successfully because the file's too big and my connection speed too slow. If I can figure out how to print it correctly and make the pamphlet myself I'll gladly do that and just send it through the ever wonderful U.S. Postal Service, but I guess it can wait a couple of days until I get back to the Metroplex and have access to a computer with much better connection.

Yeah, I'm not completely sure going back to FW is the best idea, but like I stated before, I'm determined to make it back there by this weekend. I can be rather stubborn and bull-headed at times (my Chinese Zodiak symbol is the Ox, so I guess that means I'm a thick skulled or hard headed or something). I do have good reasons for wanting to go back though, plus, in a way, I almost feel like I NEED to. I've also come to the conclusion that I'm insane and lack the ability to NOT obsess, or make sense for that matter.

The pamphlet I designed does kick mucho ass though, if I could only EMAIL IT! Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts. Oh, and it's such a nice sunny day out today too, maybe it'll get to the nice comfortable temperature of 104! like yesterday. Stupid desert, I wish I had some dessert though. Mmmm....cherry delight, I haven't had that in a while.

Whatever, I'll probably change my mind a million times and reconvince myself that this or this or THIS is the right thing to go and do, blah blah blah obsessive-cakes. Well, I've got to brush my teeth for an hour or something to get ready for my dentist appointment. Yippie!

Random Quote of the Day

May your friends be many
Your troubles few
And all your sausages be long.

I'll Be Bach!

I'm back! I'm 20! and I'm loving it! or something like that. As you might have guessed I just turned 20 on the fourth and it's kinda cool. Me and my mom just got back from Ohio (30 hours in the car blows) last night and I am determined to go back to Ft. Worth by next weekend, even if I have to take the bus. I've got my old Domino's job lined up and there I can wait for my imaginary internship come to fruition.

So I was in Ohio, and I visited, and visited...and what else did I do? Oh yeah, I visited. I'm glad I was able to help my mom out though, with all of her eye surgeries from last year she doesn't have the greatest depth perception anymore and really shouldn't drive a whole lot, but she really wanted to go up and visit my grandpa (her dad, just so there's no confusion) because he's on his last leg. There's just too many problems to fix and he's almost 80 and wouldn't be able to survive any major surgery or treatment anyways. And while all of that is depressing it was a very enjoyable visit (for the most part) it just got a little long.

One very enjoyable feature of the trip is I got a whole new set of Momisms (aka "Motherly Misquotes"). While at a Steak 'n Shake she tried to order a "Slip 'n Slide" milkshake instead of the "Side by Side". She called some cherry picker trucks "pea pickers". She's sharp as whip, but not as quick. And I believe there were more, but those were the most prominent.

I also rescued a baby duck...and then killed it a week later. I guess it wasn't meant to be, but I do have pictures (when it was alive of course). Poor little duck.

Oh, one very cool thing that me, my mom and her brother did was bring my uncle from Michigan down for a visit to see my grandparents. He has MS and is now confined to a wheelchair and hasn't gone back to his home town for about 6 years. That was a very good part of the trip. Makes me all teary-eyed just thinking about it.

So lots of sillyness, lots of heartwarming moments, and also, strangely enough, lots of fleas. My aunt and uncle's dog (called Cheetoh), with whom we were staying with, had gotten lost and put in doggy prison where acquired kennel cough and fleas. I didn't get any bites but my aunt did, and she went nuts trying to deflea the house, forcing me and my mom looking for places to go that weren't a relative's home (we were getting a little visited out by this time) and we went to smallest movie theater that I've ever been too and watched Madagascar, which wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

Anyways, I'm tired of writing now, and what I'm writing isn't even that entertaining. I'm a little out of practice I suppose. I'll try and be funny later. Bye

Access to the Outside World!

Droppin' a line from Nowhere, Ohio. I may be back some time next week, and I'll try to catch you all up then. Right now I'm gonna drink me some pop and warsh some dishes that I seen in the sink and do some other activities that are availyable to me.
